Co-Founder & Executive Director, Architects of Diversity (AOD)

Jason Wee is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Architects of Diversity (AOD), a youth-led nonprofit committed to fostering a peaceful, equitable, and inclusive Malaysia. Since 2018, he has led efforts to bridge racial and religious divides by cultivating a change ecosystem that empowers youth and engages policymakers, corporations, and communities. Under his leadership, AOD has trained over 1,000 youth advocates, supported the growth of more than 10 youth organizations, and serves as the Secretariat for Malaysia’s All-Party Parliamentary Group on Racial and Religious Harmony. Jason has been recognized as a Tatler Asia Gen.T Leader of Tomorrow, an Echoing Green Fellow, and a speaker at the Skoll World Forum. He also served on Malaysia’s National Youth Consultative Council. Jason holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy from Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs.

Kelingkan is a delicate traditional Malay embroidery technique that uses fine metallic threads to create shimmering floral and geometric motifs, often on shawls or veils worn during weddings and special occasions. With roots in Melaka and Penang, Kelingkan reflects the finesse and grace of Malay craftsmanship. As part of its mission to preserve Malaysia’s intangible cultural heritage, Yayasan Hasanah is working with artisans and cultural groups to revive this fading art form. Join our workshop to learn the intricate technique of Kelingkan and be part of preserving a piece of our cultural legacy!

Telepuk is a stunning traditional Malay textile art that features intricate gold leaf or metallic motifs pressed onto fabric, once reserved for royalty and special ceremonies. This craft embodies the richness of our cultural heritage. Through its cultural preservation efforts, Yayasan Hasanah is bringing Telepuk back to life, supporting local artisans and ensuring the technique is passed down to future generations.
